We are a private family living in the TMS Quy Nhơn area looking for a kind, reliable female nanny or university student to care for and actively engage with our 2.5-year-old son.
This is a long-term position, potentially for one to two years while our family is living in Quy Nhơn. We are looking for someone interested in stable, ongoing work who can build a trusting relationship with our child and remain with the family as he grows. Continuity is very important to us.
The main purpose of the role is active play, everyday interaction and natural exposure to English. This is not a formal teaching position and not passive supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate with the child primarily in English
- Play interactive and age-appropriate games
- Read picture books, sing songs and suggest simple activities
- Go for walks after an initial adaptation period
- Change diapers and help with basic hygiene when necessary
- Give water and help with pre-prepared food
- No cooking, apartment cleaning or other housework
IMPORTANT CHILDCARE RULES
- During working hours, the child must receive the nanny's full attention. Personal phone use, social media, videos and unrelated messaging are not allowed, except in an emergency or for necessary communication with the family.
- This is an active-care role: the nanny is expected to play, talk, read, sing, walk and interact with the child.
- The child must never be left unattended or placed in another person's care without the family's permission.
- No photos, videos or information about the child may be shared online.
- No shouting, physical punishment or harsh treatment is permitted.
- Food, outings and any medicine must follow the parents' instructions. Any incident or health concern must be reported immediately.
PREFERRED SCHEDULE
- Approximately 5 days per week
- Afternoons and early evenings, usually around 1:00 PM-6:00 PM
- Up to 5 hours per day
- The exact schedule is flexible and can include Saturdays and Sundays
- Weekday hours can be adjusted around university classes
During the first 1-2 weeks, the child's father will be present. After the child becomes comfortable, we will begin taking walks together. Independent walks will only start after mutual trust has been established.
REQUIREMENTS

- Kind, patient, responsible and punctual
- Early childhood education or a background in pedagogy is a plus, but not required
- A female university student or recent graduate is welcome
COMPENSATION
- VND 60,000-75,000 per hour, depending on childcare experience and spoken English level
- The first month will be paid according to actual hours worked
- Estimated monthly compensation is approximately VND 5,000,000-8,000,000 depending on the final agreed schedule
- The 1-2-hour practical trial with the child is paid at the agreed hourly rate
